Snapshots are not deleted

Hello,

I've tried to delete all the snapshots on the CIFS shares :

But none of the snapshots are deleted. When I look with SSH, there are a lot of older snapshots :

What is the best (safe) way to remove those snapshots?

What version are you using ?

Do you have automated schedule setup ?

Did you specify a number of snaphots to keep in the schedule ?

Did you try to manually remove them in

/mnt/cephfs/cifs/<sharename>//.snap

Version 3.2.1

Schedule was already deleted

I also tried to (re)schedule with 1 snapshot

But it doesn't clean up the old snapshots.

Manual remove isn't allowed (read-only)

you should be able to delete snapshot using example:

rmdir /mnt/cephfs/cifs/share_01/.snap/PETASAN-S-20240221053351

Tried it last night with rmdir and no Read-only error... very strange, but the snapshots are now deleted.
