What is the correct way to upgrade from 3.3.0 to 4.0?

-> Reinstall the nodes from scratch with 4.0 and add it to the existing cluster 1 by 1 until all are added and new version 4?

-> Stop cluster install new version 4 on all nodes and it will/i will add the osd's?
